Rotaract and Rotary Experience

by Ruth Vado Escobar

Since 2010, I execute Social Projects as a member of Managua – Tiscapa Rotaract Club that is club of youth professional volunteers between 18 and 30 years olds around the world, members of Rotary International, and my background inside Rotaract was the following:

  • Vice – President in the period 2011-2012
  • Past President in the period 2012 – 2013
  • Chairman Organizing Committee of the bi-district Conference Rotaract / Interact 2014.

In addition, I had the opportunity to participate in a Professional exchange (IGE) sponsored by Rotary International, from June 1 to July 1, 2012, Puerto Rico, it was a great experience with all the Rotarians there!

On 2013, I got the recognition of “Rotaract of the year" for the district 4240 (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panamá) as a reward for my good work, dynamism, fellowship and productivity, 2014 was my last year as Rotaract.

Recently, I was sworn as a Rotarian of the Rotary Club Managua – Tiscapa and I am more than happy to be part of this wonderful family and help the most needed persons, this is my second job and I love it!
