From Trash to Works of Art

Truly a great story, this article is the story of a woman with a dream, who has taken that dream and made it a reality shared with many families in need. Mirna Castillo has taken discarded trash and turned them into practical items, as well as decorative art. But it doesn’t stop there. She has used her program, named Creo Arte, to provide hope and a source of income to the poorest families in Nicaragua. Gran Pacifica is happy to promote Mirna’s art and mission, and to help her reach more people. Recycling is one of the most basic things we can do to help the environment and charities in Nicaragua, and Ms. Castillo has found a way to do it with exceptional creativity. She is truly a great example for those seeking to get involved in helping others, and Gran Pacifica is proud to be able to help.
