Weekend in NicaraguaOn paper, living in Nicaragua often seems like a dream come true. Whether you have a big family with children, you live alone or you are getting ready to retire with your spouse, there is no arguing with the appeal of the location. Just a short flight from Miami, Nicaragua is beautiful, warm and very affordable. However, most people find it impossible to make an investment in a destination that they haven't personally explored. Thankfully, the Chill Weekend solves that. Here is what you can expect when you sign up for this incredible getaway to Belize.

Friday: Arrive in Nicaragua

Most travelers who fly into Nicaragua take later flights, which means that you won't arrive until evening. Staff from the Gran Pacifica will pick you up from the Managua International Airport and then take you directly to your accommodation in the resort. The journey takes just about an hour, and the route is scenic and lush. Once you arrive, you can choose to enjoy a quick meal, walk around the property or just settle in for a great night's sleep.

Saturday: Learn More About Gran Pacifica

This is the first full day of the Chill Weekend, and it is the perfect time to familiarize yourself with Gran Pacifica and the surrounding area. The day typically starts with a tour of the grounds, and then, it moves right to a lavish meal at the onsite restaurant La Tasca. Spend the afternoon doing whatever strikes your fancy, and then, enjoy a cocktail reception with other prospective buyers, renters and those also interested in learning more about the property.

Sunday: Explore the Area

Start the day with a quick session about financing property at Gran Pacifica, and ask any questions you might have about things like area property taxes and the like. Then, the day is yours. Play golf onsite, take a surf lesson or just walk about the private 3-mile beach reserved just for guests and residents. You can dine in the local restaurants, swim in the pool and really get a feel for the environment in this wonderful part of Nicaragua.

Monday: Head Home

After a busy yet relaxing weekend, Monday morning is the time to say goodbye to Nicaragua and head home. Most visitors will depart first thing on Monday morning.
