Until last Friday, the American Actor Morgan Freeman knew almost nothing about Nicaragua. What he had only heard was about armed conflicts and difficult times. Nothing else.
But, after a three-day visit, the five-time Oscar nominee and winner of one of the prestigious awards in 2005 as best supporting actor in the film Million Dollar Baby, said he was "Very, very impressed" with Nicaragua, its food, their women and the quality of infrastructure in some coastal areas, such as golf Guacalito de la Isla, where he played Golf "very well."
Friendly, Simple and Accessible
La Prensa spoke with Freeman about his visit to the country, the possibilities to invest here, his opinion about U.S. policies, about the Oscar he did not win, his upcoming projects, about religion, racism, fears and even about social networks.
Freeman came to Nicaragua on a recreational visit and a Nicaraguan friendÂs invitation. The 76 year old actor stayed at the luxury hotel Guacalito de la Isla, in Tola, located on the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua. He also met with his friend and businessman in Chinandega.
After visiting tourist sites in the Nicaraguan Pacific, Freeman said: he is "Very impressed" with the natural beauty of the country.
