Anyone for Swimming?

Swimming is exhilarating and wonderful exercise for toning the entire body as well as strengthening your lungs. Getting some laps in is a great way to de-stress and can help you sleep better. Gran Pacifica Resort has a wonderful swimming beach not too far from the Meat Grinders Surfing Beach. As you walk along the shore on your way to the swimming beach, be sure to collect some of the beautiful seashells from the primitive shoreline.

Surfs Up!

Nicaragua is also a surfers dream, and it is easy to understand why when you visit one of the nation's incredible surfing beaches. Whether you’re an amateur hoping to stand up on your first wave, or an experienced surfer with years of the sport under your belt, you’ll love Nicaragua’s surfing beaches. There are numerous beaches to surf in Nicaragua; but one of the most popular spots for advanced surfers is the San Diego Beach at the Gran Pacifica Beach and Golf Resort. Gran Pacifica has more than three miles of fantastic coastline for surfers and other visitors alike. Check out one of the surf competitions in Nicaragua here.

Paddle Boarding

Not only has paddle boarding become a very popular sport in recent years, but it’s also a great way to workout your arms. There are many places to rent a paddleboard and an accompanying oar in Nicaragua, so be sure to give this activity a try on your next visit.

probably the perfect water activity for you. Snorkeling gear and scuba diving equipment are easy to rent, as well as taking a scuba lesson. One of the most beautiful places in the country for snorkeling and scuba diving is found in the Caribbean waters of the Corn Islands.

Go Fishing

Fishing is at the top of many folk’s list when it comes to water sports. You can fish in numerous areas in Nicaragua, like in the early
mornings at San Diego Beach at Gran Pacifica Resort. Just stand on the rocks while the tide is low and try your hand, who knows you might make the catch of the day! And our Sea Salt Restaurant right there at the Resort will cook it up for you.

No matter if you plan your next vacation for just a week, month, or longer, there is clearly no way to miss all the fun in the water while you're in Nicaragua. It's time to take the plunge!
