TestimonialsIn this section will be able to find information of people that have experienced and visited Gran Pacifica. Also you can visit our Nica Newsletter, where you will find all sorts of information pertaining to doing business in and visiting Nicaragua. For information on the Cobb Family and their experiences living in this enchanting country, refer to Mike’s “Gringo Life” section. In that newsletter he gives the Cobb Family Update, as well as his thoughts and observations on living here and the differences that become clear and tangible only upon moving your life down to Nicaragua. For regular updates on Gran Pacifica’s Social Projects, refer to www.ChessNicaragua.com. Enjoy! Terry Martin My name is Terry Martin and I live with my wife Angie in Newport Beach, California. I am currently employed as a Director of Logistics (Transportation/Warehousing) and Angie is a store manager for Wal-Mart. I chose to purchase property at Gran Pacifica for a combination of reasons. Number one, I saw it as an opportunity to live at the beach and maintain the same standard of living as I now have in Newport Beach on retirement income. Number two, my wife and I started traveling to Costa Rica approximately fifteen years ago and happened to see the initial construction of Los Suenos. We look at Gran Pacifica as being a mirror image and it gives us a chance to be in on the ground floor of a lucrative development. Number three, I like the concept that anyone purchasing a lot in the first phase must build within a year. This insures that my wife and I will not be living in a ghost town. Number four, we liked living in a development that offered most of the amenities that we have in Newport Beach (fresh water from the tap, sewer system, broadband cable, etc.). And last but not least, we see the potential of starting a business that would revolve around providing a service to guests of the hotel. Kyle Yost I am Kyle Yost from Frederick, MD. I own a computer products distribution company and have recently bought a lot and intend on building a home at Gran Pacifica. The reason I bought at Gran Pacifica is because I wanted a place where I will feel a sense of community while I am away from the U.S. and because of the amenities offered at Gran Pacifica. The management of Gran Pacifica has done everything right like burying the utilities on property, running fiber for telecommunications to every house and bringing three phase electric 16 miles to the property via concrete telephone poles. Every other project in Nicaragua strives to be like Gran Pacifica so I went with the best. Nicaraguan people are very friendly, the country is incredibly safe and inexpensive (A couple can have a nice steak dinner and a bottle of wine for $20). Plus, there are so many things to see and do in Nicaragua that your schedule can be as full as you like or totally empty for relaxation. Things to do in Nicaragua include: exploring Granada (The 2nd oldest city in all of the America’s) and Leon or hiking volcanoes and national parks, fresh water and salt water fishing, world class surfing, zip lining from tree top to tree top, relaxing on the beach, eating fabulous native foods and so many more options. Kurt & Peggy Long Nicaragua is set for explosive growth in their economy and land values. The people are friendly, the government is stable, the country is beautiful, and things to do abound. There are always questions and doubts about owning property and building a house in a foreign country - does the land have a clear title, how can we purchase it, what is the quality of the construction that we will be able to get, what kind of housing will be around us, will it look like a community or be spread out an not have a look of a community, will the surrounding housing add to or detract from our houses values, are water and sewer available, are medical services available, who can we get and trust to build our house, who can help maintain our house, how can we rent it out, what is avaibable to do in the area -golf, swimming, zip lines, tours, etc? Gran Pacifica Resort is a master planned community. This means that the above questions and more have already been addressed. It is a well thought out and wel run development with a clear goal in mind. Gran Pacifica is the easiest way to live and invest in paradise. Sincerely Dan Aranda My wife and I had decided to investigate the options of investing in property outside of the U.S. We attended an International Living conference in Managua last August. After visiting the Gran Pacific property we knew we had found a place to build an investment home. The coastline reminds us of Southern California without the real estate prices we are so painfully familiar with! Seeing the investments of large U.S. and other multinational companies in Nicaragua reassured us that homework had been done on stability and opportunity for return on investment. We are excited to begin construction this year and have shared the opportunity with friends and family, who have also chosen to purchase property at Gran Pacifica. Submitted by Dan Aranda, Vice President of Aranda Tooling. Dan lives in Long Beach, CA with his wife Theresa and they are expecting their first child this year. They look forward to traveling to Nicaragua many times in the future. Dr. Richard White, Chairman of the Board, Gran Pacifica Dear Mike and Joel: As the Chairman of the Board of Gran Pacifica I would like to take this opportunity to both congratulate and thank you for the very special efforts on concluding a major step in the successful development of the Gran Pacifica entity. With expansion of GranPacifica into the well established and internationally renown Costa Rica market the potential rewards to Gran Pacifica shareholders have expanded significantly. When I visited the website, I was very impressed with the beauty of the site that GranPacifica will be developing. It is quite noteworthy that you have joined with a minority partner who is well established in both real estate development and in Costa Rica. With having a beautiful Caribbean beach on one side and a deep water channel on the back side the development opportunities are boundless. One can foresee both beach front development and the possibility for homes with deep water boat docks along the channel. It will be very important that we convey often and fully to the shareholders, how the development of the Nicaraguan and Costa Rican projects evolve. For sure these opportunities are not in competition with each other and for the next several years our Nicaraguan project will always be the opportunity having the highest priority. It will be very important that the management of Gran Pacifica establish a specific development plan for the Costa Rica property and that we identify and employ the highest quality personnel to move this project along. Thanks again for your extra efforts on behalf of all Gran Pacifica investors. Glenn K. - Ontario, Canada It all sounds very exciting. Chalk up another one for the splendid job the team has done once again. Craig C. - Texas, USA Hello Michael Cobb, Congratulations on the acquisition of Playa del Sol. I have been to Costa Rica/Limon, very nice property, that is a steal for 2 miles of Caribbean front property. A few large bugs, mosquitoes, and a little more humid than pacific side, but a great situation. Huge value in the synergy of these properties including your Belize resort, I can imagine your tie in for reservations, golf, time shares, property management, etc. I am getting on a plane to go back to Brazil, fifth trip this year, have bought two ocean front properties around Rio De Janeiro, a condo 40 minutes south of Rio De Janeiro, in Recreio, nicer than south beach Miami for the low 200k and a house a hour north of Rio De Janeiro in a small town of 70,000 called Marcia for 55k on the beach, including guest quarter. Your long term investor/believer Joe and Jill B. - North Carolina Loved the article. We have known about the great opportunities in Nicaragua for a number of years. We invested in the"Gran Pacifica" project (Mmmcobb@aol.com) and could not be happier with the results thus far. Mike Cobb the CEO has been doing a fine job of directing and managing the project. Roy Adaniya - Hawaii, USA I received your e mail regarding the exciting new development on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. I would like to express my appreciation on how the acquisition was structured. I appreciate that the new development will be listed as an asset for Gran Pacifica, which will enhance the investment of all shareholders in Gran Pacifica without the necessity to invest more money. This demonstrates your perspective of doing what is best for the current shareholders. Coupled to this is the track record of accomplishment of planning and implementing the details of a world class development. I know because I have already inspected the Gran Pacifica site and pounded the ground where I also bought a lot. Roy Adaniya, MD |
