Nicaragua Golf Course - 36 Holes of Excellence!
The Emerald Course
Originating from The Clubhouse as all 3 nines do, number 1 of the Emerald course plays through mature trees with a creek on the right. On the second, the driving area is forgiving on this lengthy par 4 and a pond back and right guards an exciting green. Number 3 proceeds to the ocean while crossing beautiful water hazzards. The fourth is a hole a golfer will have to experience, the Pacifica Golf Club Logo is derived from this par 3. The par 4 fifth plays back across the estuary and to the river which also creates an impressive feature for # 6 and the par 3 7th. The 8th again takes advantage of a large ponding area and the home hole # 9 narrows the driving area the further you hit it. Its then a precise 2nd shot to an exciting green.

The Ruby Course
Coming from the Clubhouse crossing the bridge to the 1st hole the golfer will embark on another very different golfing experience. Some places are heavily wooded such as the second shot on # 1 and # 2 a very fun, short par 4. Others have decisions to make with split fairways such as # 3, #4 and part of #6. Also the San Diego River creates a wonderful variety of golf shots on holes 5, 6 and 7 making this series of holes pivital in any round of golf. #8 a serious par 4 from the back tees can have many treacherous pin placements because of a pond which was added to the right side of the green. The 9th proceeding back to the Clubhouse with its towering Guanacaste trees guarding the left side of the fairway and ponding on the right and back of the green make this a memorable, fun finishing hole.

The Sapphire Course
Proceeding north from the Clubhouse #1 par 5 plays on relatively level terrain although quite wooded. From # 2 on the change is evident with water, the Ocean from estuaries, and elevation changes abound as this area is quite wild. # 4 par plays to the ocean, 5 and 6 play inland with great elevation changes over an estuary to get back to two of the most spectacular ocean holes in the world. # 7 par 3 playing along a cliff with the green close enough to be dangerous to more than your golf game. Then the par 4 8th again playing completely along the Pacific. From the tee the desired route and the green are framed on the ocean point. The strategy and shot making to get there will probably be discussed in detail at the 19th hole. Finishing the Sapphire 9th with the tee on the ocean point, it then proceeds over streams and through the woods to arrive safely at the Clubhouse.
