Gran Pacifica Telecommunication System
Gran Pacifica Resort created its own private telecommunication company to provide fast communication services to its residents. Mid 2006, Gran Pacifica Telecom was born for this purpose. Gran Pacifica Telecom will provide "Triple play" services to all its residents via a fiber optic system. Residents will have services like high speed Internet, Television and Telephone delivered to their home via an advance fiber optics system. This system will make Gran Pacifica, the first fiber-to-home project in Latin-American and one the most technological advanced residential tourist projects in the world.

System Designer and System integrator, designed the network model of Gran Pacifica telecom infrastructure.
Pacific Broadband Networks (PBN) of Sidney, Australia
Hardware provider of the optical systems, leader in fiber to the home systems in Australia, Japan and East Europe. PBN's technology is designed to deliver video, voice and data services across advanced optical networks for industrial and residential applications.
AMNET Data Networks of Coral Springs, Florida, United States
Internet service providers with the most extensive network in Latin-America. AMNET will provide Gran Pacifica telecom with a direct Link to the internet backbone in the USA with a capacity of up to 55mps.
Progress of the Telecommunication System
- All investment in hardware has been made and contracts signed with services providers.
- The MCC or Master Control Center has been built and it has been remodel to accommodate all the equipment purchased.
- All equipment will be delivered to Gran Pacifica site and begin installation on mid July 2007.
- The delivery of all services to residents will be a reality in the period between the end of 2007 and early 2008.
