Starting at the Clubhouse, as all three 9s do, hole 1 of the Emerald course plays through mature trees with a creek on the right. On the second, the driving area is forgiving on this lengthy par 4 and a pond to the back right guards an exciting green. Number three proceeds to the ocean while crossing a series of beautiful water hazards. The fourth is a hole a golfer will have to experience: the Pacifica Golf Club Logo is derived from this par 3. The par 4 fifth plays across an estuary and to the river which also creates an impressive feature for the sixth hold and the par 3 seventh. The eighth again takes advantage of a large pond area and the home hole narrows the driving area the further you hit it.
