The adventures of Jack and Margaret in Nicaragua

Posted by Mike Cobb on Mar 15, 2012 6:36:27 PM

In last weeks show, I spoke with Jack and Margaret Griffin who are exploring all parts of Nicaragua in retirement. Â Having just returned home from a fishing trip on the Rio San Juan, Jack and Margaret were flush with stories about boating down the river, horseback riding, a night hike to search for Caymans, and of course, fishing for Tarpon. Â The Tarpon were rolling and feeding in the river, but unfortunately not on the bait they were using. Â They enjoyed their adventure in the jungle and an encounter with Howler monkeys similar to one I had once where the monkeys throw poop down on you. Â I have a story about that with Amanda when she was 7 I can send if you request it. Â Jack also talks about how the week before he went deep sea fishing off the coast of Gran Pacifica and came back with 600 pounds of fish.

If you wish to hear more of Jack and Margaret adventures you can also hear Mike's Gringo Life Radio Show on mikesgringolife.com and they were my guest on March 13th Radio Show.
