I love February in Nicaragua. Why? Because all the wonderful fruits are in season. Today I made a delicious Mango Mint smoothie for breakfast that was to die for. I just threw all of theÂ Ingredients into my blender and had this delicious and healthy treat.
It sure is great living in Nicaragua!!
1/4 cup avocado
1 cup mango
1 TBS lime juice
1 TBS mint
1 tsp. honey
2 cups ice (crushed)
Mango is also great as an after school snack just peeled and sliced. What can be easier than that?
You can feel good about eating mango for so many reasons. They are full ofÂ Antioxidants that protect the body against cancer.
Mango has high levels of vitamin C, pectin and fiber that help to lower serum cholesterol levels. Rich in vitamin A they promote good eyesight. One cup of sliced mangoes equals 25% intake of your daily need of vitamin A.
